John Wilson was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer at age 38. Over six years he endured 75 rounds of chemotherapy and three major surgeries, before moving into a hospice for palliative care. John and his family invited ITV News UK Editor Paul Brand to share some of his final moments, and issued a plea to the House of Lords not to block the Bill which would legalise assisted dying for people in his situation.
