Classic Borscht Ingredients: Beets (2–3), cabbage, potatoes (2–3), carrots, onion, garlic, tomato paste (1–2 tbsp), broth or water, bay leaf, salt, pepper, dill, a bit of vinegar or lemon juice. How to make: 1. Prep: Slice beets, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, onion, and garlic. 2. Beets first: Sauté beets with a little oil and 1 tbsp vinegar/lemon juice a spoon of sugar to keep the color. 3. Base: In a pot, add potatoes, cabbage, sautéed carrots and onions, broth. Cook until soft. 4. Add beets: St
