Hydronic heating systems heat water (instead of air) and distribute that energy throughout the building to “heat emitters” to condition the space. Water is a very powerful, efficient medium and can transfer incredible amounts of energy (by volume). It’s better at this than air, more comparable to refrigerants. Water is also destructive af 😵‍💫 it can wreak havoc in a piping system if not kept in check. Velocity, minerals, ph level, oxygen content are all things that have to be handled properly
