The Pacific is very active with tropical systems (currently 4) and more likely to develop this week. The strongest is Super Typhoon Noru (major cat 5) with sustained winds of 161 mph gusting to 195 mph and it will likely make a couple more loops well off Japan. The rest are Tropical Storms with Haitang impacting SE China now and the others in the East Pacific will be fish storms (won't impact land).
