On April 5, 1999 WCW Monday Nitro aired on TNT from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the first Nitro to carry the new WCW and Nitro branding. In the main event, WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair put his title on the line in a Four Way Match against Hollywood Hogan, Goldberg and Diamond Dallas Page. On July 5, 1999 WCW Monday Nitro took place in front of 25,338 fans at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta and aired live on TNT. Bret Hart returned to WCW television for the first time since his brother Owen’s tragic death on May 23rd. It marked Bret’s first public comments on Owen since the accident. Bret wouldn’t return to action until the September 13, 1999 episode of Nitro in a tag team match with Hulk Hogan against Sting and Lex Luger, reestablishing himself as a face in the process. | Davenport S

On September 6, 1999 WCW Monday Nitro aired on TNT from the Miami Arena in Miami, Florida. In the main event, Hulk Hogan & Bill Goldberg took on Sid Vicious, Diamond Dallas Page & Rick Steiner in a handicap steel cage match. Against the advice of Lex Luger, Sting would come to the aid of Hogan & Goldberg to even the score.
