🩸Rh Factor in Pregnancy → Blood type incompatibility is a concern in pregnancy, especially for FETAL health! Here’s why: -When a father has a positive blood type (has Rh factor) and the mother has a negative blood type (lacks the Rh factor), the fetus develops EITHER a positive or a negative blood type -Though it’s rare, accidental mixing of fetal and maternal blood can cause major complications! -The mother will be exposed to the Rh factor, a protein she’s not used to having in her bloodstream
