When I see the level in my in-bed vermicomposting bins go down, I know it's time to feed the worms. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Here's how I do it: ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Remove the thick layer of wood chips and observe the worms. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣If the worms are still active in the bin and most of the food is gone, I'll add a 1-2 inch layer of food scraps.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣(If the worms are gone and the bin is full of castings, I'll harvest the castings and spread them around the bed.)⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣After adding the food scraps, I add a thick layer of wood chips
