What do you think of this? Here’s how I dealt with this flooring transition that ran to this corner • It’s really just the outside 45° cut followed by 4 22.5° cuts. I first make a mock up piece of of scraps just to make sure I got it right • I could have built up the trim to be taller in the left but then I’d have 2 different heights of base on each side of the door • Others may have ripped down the base to be the same height but then you gotta do the whole room and you know I don’t like the loo

Dealing with flooring transitions when doing baseboards • There is different ways to do it but I like to do the step down so it keeps the baseboard the same height all the way around. I know some like to rip it down which works as well, but remember the base will be shorter which may make it look different. • This one all the cuts are 22.5°. Piece 1 & 3 are one way and piece 2 is the other • I’m using the 8-1/2” 40v XGT miter saw which has been fantastic for the last year that we’ve had it Makit
