You should never open a neonatal kitten’s eyes…with one exception: neonate ophthalmia. If your foster kitten has a buildup of pus under the eyelid, you’ll need to flush the eye and help put an end to the infection. Kitten eyes are sensitive things, but they can heal beautifully when we intervene quickly.
