Didn’t get a chance to chase Reading and Northern 2102 last weekend, but can’t help reminding me over its first passenger run after restoration two years ago. The rain made the tracks slippery on the climb out of Tamaqua Tunnel up the grade to Hometown. You can hear the big steam locomotive slip and recover several times as it takes the curve going through East Mahanoy Junction with a train of 19 cars with no assistance.
