Going over these words will help all students, but especially your ELL students. I love when students can use academic language to explain their work and reasoning. Oftentimes this doesn’t come naturally to students. So we need to go over these words. I like to prepare these math vocabulary word cards before the unit. Then each day I’ll teach a new word as a math warm-up. Once I teach each word, each day I will review a word with students. Then in our lessons I can model using the words to expla
