Tools make every job easier. I used my oscillating tool to cut the joint between the 2 pieces of wood. This gave just enough of a gap to slip 2 pieces of aluminum capping into the gap. The oscillating tool is one of those tools I don’t use often, but when it’s needed it comes in so handy. It’s got much more control than many other power tools.
