We opted for steel framing vs wood framing for this project because it made the most sense for several reasons: 1) the span is close to 20’ across and the customer did not want a support post in the middle, which is understandable. 2) if a support post can’t be installed in the middle, then it would require us to install an LVL beam. 3) an LVL beam would not be ideal because of how thick it is and it would encroach on the head spa
