80 years ago today, Intrepid was struck by two kamikaze attacks. A pilot ready room was severely damaged after a bomb explosion during the first strike. Later, one of the pilot's whose belongings were destroyed was able to recover his flight log book from that area. Recently the book was sent for treatment to help mitigate damage caused by flames and smoke. This relic stands as a powerful reminder of history and a tribute to those who served. | Intrepid Museum
