The #MRT7 is currently testing Trainset #28 (M55-T28-M56) this afternoon. Before they are ready for public use, these trainsets have to undergo system checks and testing in order to ensure the safety of the passengers. The #MRT7 uses a third rail power supply system, a first in the Philippines which uses a steel mounted at the middle of the rail tracks which shall directly supply power to live trainsets, that is why, there are no overhead cables and a pantograph in the train. DAY 2 of the #MRT7 train test runs. Another set of trial runs was conducted yesterday for the #MRT7 trainset. We finally saw the train approaching Don Antonio Station including a signal horn. Based on our observation, the train horn is also similar to some of our existing railway systems like the LRT Line 2. Looks like we will see the test runs regularly conducted, so don't be surprised if you happen to pass by Commonwealth Avenue with the MRT trains passing by! Exciting times ahead! 🥂 #MRT7 #S
