Pere Marquette 1225 is a steam locomotive built in 1941 by the Lima Locomotive Works in Lima, Ohio. The locomotive has a 2-8-4 "Berkshire" wheel arrangement and was intended for both passenger and freight service on the Pere Marquette Railroad in Michigan. 1225 was also the basis for the train depicted in the book "The Polar Express".
