If you grew up during the 1970s and early 1980s you will remember Jane Russell’s Playtex bra commercials. The photo in the beginning is a shot from The Outlaw. 1943. Howard Hughes the director of the film became obsessed with Jane’s bust, and went so far as to design a custom bra for her. But according to Jane, he just wanted to do something that was seamless, so that under her clothes it didn’t look like she was wearing a bra. Declaring it “ridiculous,” she threw Hughes’ garment across her trai
