As a novice principal, I was fired. I spent too much time in the office. I didn’t hold students accountable for their actions. Our school became unsafe. Teachers left the school because the Titanic was sinking. And I lost my job over it. The experience was both physically and mentally exhausting. Thankfully, I didn’t let this chapter defeat me. A former boss threw me a life raft and gave me a second chance. And I was determined to use what I learned and do better. Why do I prioritize a safe lear
