Why parallel index? It simply acts as your continuous and real-time position monitoring tool based on objects that evidently exist. So even if your GPS is wrongly offset or jammed (which affects your ECDIS), your PI gives you the safety allowance from existing objects/reference points in the area. #simplified #navigatorsclub #navigation | Simplified Maritime
