The easiest way to fit a shower tray waste without fighting the trap — my crowbar hack! I grab a crowbar, or anything long with a right angle, and use it like a hook. I slide it in , hook it into the outlet , and lift it tight to the bottom of the tray. That holds it perfectly in place so I can screw the top section in from above with zero hassle.
