Cutting and baling corn stalks. We generally never take stubble off a field because it helps retain soil moisture, helps reduce wind erosion, and when the stubble breaks down it becomes plant food for the next year or more crops. In this situation we loss the lease to the field so we decided to keep our stubble for feed and bedding. It took 5 days to get the whole field baled up due to weather and other more pressing projects. Now we will have to go in and gather and haul all the bales off. We w
