There is so much physics involved in vortices. Conservation of angular momentum and fluid dynamics are some of the main principles. When a fluid starts to rotate, it creates a difference in pressure between the inside and outside of the rotating flow. This pressure difference causes the fluid to continue rotating, forming a vortex. The swirling motion of the fluid is sustained because of the conservation of angular momentum, which means that the total amount of rotational momentum in the system

🌪️💦Here's a fab science experiment!We used a bottle to create a whirlpool vortex, we carefully poked a hole in thebottom of our bottle to allow the water to suck through and make our vortex last longer, we also added a drop of washing up liquid to make it more visible.A vortex is created when a rotating liquid falls through an opening. Gravity is the force that pulls the liquid into the hole, and the rotation causes a continuous vortex to develop swirling the water in a bottle. 🌪️💦 #kidsacti
